The Ballad of 'Ol Shootin' Jed: Page 10
And we're baaaaack~!
I tell you, these past three passages have been difficult to put art to! I had a page all ready to go, but the more I looked at it, the more I figured it would make more sense LATER in the story. As in three pages later. I agonized over making last week's entry flow into what I had just drawn. I'm not finished with it yet, but so far I see it working. I will let you know when we get there.
So my Facebook "Likes" are currently at 420. You might think that's a flimsy pretext to make some kind of... pot joke, or something, whatever you you kids are doing these days. No, it's not, not that at all actually. What I'm more trying to get at is that around the time of the new year, about three months ago, I was struggling really hard to break 200 "Likes". Even worse, I couldn't even hit that milestone before January 1st. I was so ashamed! D: I don't know why these little numbers mean so much to me, probably from a lifetime of playing videogames. If my "score" is low, it means I'm "losing" the game. And I don't mean the game as "I lost the game", no, that game is over. It ended February 10th 2010, look it up.
No, i mean the game as in this whole being an online comic guy game. Those numbers are like a scoreboard to me and I want the numbers to always be higher. I want to have gotten all the red coins in Yoshi's Island! All the Chaos Emeralds in Sonic! All the heart pieces in Zelda! Larger numbers mean more readers and more readers (sometimes) translates into more book sales.
BUT! I can;t rely on my friends for Facebook "Likes" and book sales forever... so I finally delved into the world of Facebook ads. In two short weeks, I went from struggling to read 200 to 420!! Let's hope book sales follow suit, eh?
